Aster Muro is an innovative British studio creating awe-inspiring abstract frescoes for interior architecture and residential developments nationwide. From teaching and running masterclasses in their studio, to completing international commissions, Aster Muro look to push boundaries and connect people, while nurturing well-being through their beautiful art form.
Fresco artist Charles Snell, and his wife Lianne, established the studio in 2017 in The Wye Valley, moving in 2020 to the Brecon Beacons, near Abergavenny. Their uplifting, monumental and immersive works of art explore how people relate to interior spaces and architecture and encourage people to be present and experience emotive moments of truth. The raw beauty of the surrounding Welsh countryside lends natural and organic inspiration to these creations.
Each fresco uniquely conveys internal, universal, architectural and contextual narratives. A fresco is the combined result of extensive thought, dialogue, detailed research, inspiration gathering, conceptual refinement, studio practice, and energetic and passionate installation.
